“His name is Salvatore Rossi. He’s a vampire. And he’s my true mate.”
By not relying on anyone except himself, Salvatore Rossi escaped a dead-end existence and reached the height of corporate success. But just when he has everything he always wanted, fate throws Salvatore a challenge he can’t solve alone and a young wolf shifter comes to his rescue.
Since childhood, Yoram Smith’s family was certain he would grow to become Alpha and save their beloved pack from its slow demise. When the time comes for a new leader, Yoram is forced to juggle his duty to care for a splintering pack with his duty to care for an absent mate, and his own strength suffers.
Being turned into a vampire didn’t alter Salvatore’s life philosophy: if you don’t rely on anyone, nobody can let you down. But when the boy who saved his life becomes a man who needs his help, the icy vampire must find his humanity.
“Hi, Mister.” Hand on his forehead acting as a visor, seven-year-old Yoram Smith squinted up at the tall figure standing outside the diner. The setting sun behind him cast his face in shadow, but he moved his head slightly so Yoram figured he’d heard him, even though he didn’t answer. “I’m Yoram Smith. What’s your name?” Rather than responding, the man moved his head in the opposite direction. “Do you live in Kfarkattan?” Oranges and honey. The man smelled of oranges and honey. If he was from Kfarkattan, Yoram surely would have noticed his wonderful scent before now. He didn’t spend a lot of time in the human town, but every few months his uncles came to visit, and they weren’t allowed on pack lands, so he had to leave Miancarem to see them. “I don’t, but I’m nearby in Mian—”
“Yoram.”
Turning his head to the side,…
Very much a Cardeno C book, with very little angst or drama save Kyle losing his job and his home. I loved the way Kyle didn't like Brent very much because of what he thought he represented. Loved that Kyle didn't like how Brent made him feel, with out Brent even knowing it. Loved that last line!! I think I might go back and READ this one at some point.
I loved the ending. Sal and Yorry's HEA was very satisfying..this whole series will always be special to me. I love how how all four books intertwine...I do love me some CC shifter novels. Gimme more!
If you love stories about mates falling for each other through hard times, I highly recommend To Touch You!
CC's books are always compulsively readable. I can't put them down. I read this book late into the night, woke up the next morning, and read some more.
