It’s funny how when you’re a kid you think you have it all figured out. You think you know who you’re going to be when you grow up, what you’re going to do. And yet, you can’t actually see yourself as a grown-up. I mean, grown-ups are old. And they’re constantly saying shit we think we’ll never say and doing shit we think we’ll never do.
When I think back to how many times I said I’d never do this and I’d never say that, I want to cringe. Because you know what? I do all of it now.
Just this morning, when I was getting the kids off to school and they were fighting with each other over who got to hold a spatula—yeah, I know—I told them to stop talking to each other. No, really, I did. This was me: “Bobby, Stephi! You…
This story spanned two decades, and Cardeno C did an amazing job blending large stretches of time as well as alternating POV. The story was simultaneously light and weighty, with CC bringing us fun and humorous moments, but balancing that with serious relationship issues, and even a little bit of heartache. For me, the strongest part of this book was the narration. The way Charlie/Chase tells his story, while engaging the reader at the same time, was a joy to read. I really fell in love with Charlie's character, and admired the way he was comfortable with who he was, and how he gave his whole heart to those that he loved. He's spunky, charming, and caring, and I have no doubt that anyone who reads this book will want to be his best friend....Sassy, steamy, and even a little silly, More Than Everything really was a joy to read.
Wow. I'm in shock over how much I loved this story. I fell in love with Charlie, Scott, and Adan. There's nothing I can say except it's one of the best books I've ever read. Thank you, Cardeno, for putting these guys on paper and sharing them.
It's a well written and entertaining addition to the series that I enjoyed. The storyline is nicely plotted, the personalities are unique and well developed, the imagery is vivid and the flow smooth. I like Charlie. He's a sweet guy and doesn't make any apologies for who he is. Even when life hurts, he goes on - he deals with it - tries to be happy. ... His biggest hurt also gives him his greatest happiness, and the future he always wanted. It's a difficult moment in his life and oh, so realistic. The author handles it very well.... It's non-traditional but watching them work through their issues made me smile. But then I found myself smiling often during this entertaining love story. I couldn't help it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
This is a truly romantic book.
