Something in the Way He Needs Reviews

Leann's Book Reviews I don't even have to tell you that the writing was brilliant, but I will anyway because I want you to understand why this book impressed me so. ... Asher and Daniel are like night and day, but the author managed to bring them together in a believable way and made it look effortless. Only the author's ability to understand the intricacies of people's personalities and how they can relate to each other can bring this about. ... The connection between these two is not something I could easily imagine, but Cardeno C presented it in a manner that captivated my attention and after reading these guys' journey I wouldn't have it any other way. This is not the common boy meets boy, boys get to know each other until they fall in love and have their HEA. Nope. This story flows along in quite the opposite direction. ...From their first meeting through the development of the relationship Cardeno C managed to keep me engaged with entertaining and meaningful dialog, emotions galore and fantastic man-on-man sex. The interaction between them ranged from the meaningful to the flirtatious and the emotions extracted from them were just as varied. But what I appreciated the most was the sense of realness I got from their journey. Although their chemistry was hot and their connection was developing with every moment they spent together both Asher and Daniel had to make an effort to make it work. And it is here that the characters' development comes in. We get to see how Asher questions and doubts his feelings and that of Daniel's while Daniel starts to open up to Asher and tries his best to stick around. Brilliance, I tell you!

Literary Nymphs Reviews Something in the Way He Needs is the first book in the new Family series by Cardeno C. I'm going to make this review short and to the point. It's good - really good - I hope you'll take a chance and read it good. First let's address the BDSM. Yes, there are aspects of BDSM because Asher comes from that world but the story doesn't dwell heavily on it. If fact, just the opposite. There's light spanking and lots of dominant hot sex but I think this is the first book I've read where the author writes a convincing story of love and its emotional impact making a Dom change his lifestyle for the man he loves. It's so realistic I nearly cried later in the book. I like both Asher and Daniel. They're pretty complex individuals with well-developed personalities and their pasts play heavily on their present, making each deeply flawed. The plot is nicely constructed with a smooth flow, there's vivid imagery, good secondary character integration and a few surprises to keep it interesting and the pages turning. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Live Your Life, Buy the Book Something in the Way He Needs is the story of finding the one who calls to your heart. It is an emotional journey into the dynamics of a relationship, while exploring the question of who holds the power? ... I loved the premise of this story as aloof, super-cool Asher makes the decision to pursue easy going Daniel and both men go for the promise of a relationship. I liked these two and their sex scenes are definitely hot and plentiful. I enjoyed Asher's growth through his missteps and devastating choices. The strong difference in the two main characters created believable tension throughout the story. There are wonderful secondary characters in the book. Oliver, Asher's friend and employee and Oliver's fiancée, Shirley give the story some lighter moments. Let's just say, Oliver doesn't have a clue while long-suffering Shirley tries to ring his number. Shirley and Daniel definitely hit it off as friends.
